Born in Porto, he was born on July 13, 1992.
He began his musical career on the classical guitar at the age of 8 and at the age of 10 he was admitted to the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Aveiro to study with Graciano Pinto and Carlos Abreu. Finished the 8th grade of Classical Guitar, in 2011, with the maximum classification.
Later, he graduated in Music (Guitar Performance) from the University of Aveiro, where he studied with Paulo Vaz de Carvalho, Pedro Rodrigues and, in chamber music, with clarinetist Luís Silva, pianist Helena Marinho and composer António Pink Nasturtium. He is currently completing his Masters in Music Teaching at the same institution.
He was a professor of guitar and chamber music at the Conservatório de Música e Artes do Dão, at the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian in Braga, at the Conservatório de Música de Coimbra, and at the Conservatório de Música da Jobra, among others.
He won the IV National Guitar Competition “Cidade de Gaia”, was awarded at the 14th International Competition Sta. Cecília, in the International Competition “Cidade do Fundão”, in 2011 and also, awarded with an Honorable Mention with Praise in the “VIII Guitar Contest of S. João da Madeira”.
He performed solo or as part of chamber groups at events such as the “4th course of the Guitar Meetings of Seia 2010”, the “Guitar Week 2011” (Águeda, Aveiro), the “I Organological Congress in Portugal” (Aveiro ) and the “Braga Guitar Festival”. Of particular note was his participation in the “Musicografias” project, in 2014, promoted by the organization Arte no Tempo, where he played several pieces by the important Viennese composer Beat Furrer, in his presence.
Between 2005 and 2010, he was a member of the Orchestra - Tuna of the Musical Society of Santa Cecília, Aveiro and guest jury of the “XIII FESTILHA – Festival de Tunas de Ílhavo”. He helped to found the Fado Novo group, a fado group that promoted Fado de Lisboa in the district of Aveiro between 2016 and 2018.
Currently, he collaborates as a guitarist in the projectour guitar dedicated to the study and dissemination of the Coimbra guitar, where he is part of the original project byHenrique Fraga,
guitarist who also accompanies the interpretation of the work of the Paredes family.
